NLD is a day we launched with S.T.O.R.M charity in London, it’s an annual event celebrated on 18th November each year.
It is a day dedicated to listening to the voices of our young people, Listening is one of the most powerful tools we possess, when you listen without interrupting, giving your opinion, or trying to problem solve, you have the ability to make the other person feel valued, and validated in their feelings. Earlier this year we asked the members of our support groups their opinion on the reasons behind the rising suicide rates in young women, and what they feel negatively impacts their mental health, the event we created at Heartlands this year for NLD is a result of those conversations, we listened, we heard you.
Below are the videos of some of the presentations made by passionate and inspiring women who want you to realise the power of your voice, there are many things in this world we cannot control, but there are so many we CAN, the women speaking in these videos want to support and empower you to make the positive changes that only YOU can make, to lead a happier life.
