In 2022 we launched our #pastthesmile campaign across our social media pages where we talked about invisible illnesses, including mental health, we talked about the importance of looking #pastthesmile and asking ‘how are you, REALLY?’ Many of our followers shared their experience of suffering with an invisible Illness and impact of the pain they feel, whilst outwardly looking ‘fine’.
The campaign culminated with an awareness day on January the 8th which is also our ‘anniversary’ date of becoming a registered charity, we encouraged our supporters to ‘wear something purple’ (Georgia’s favourite colour!) and one of our #pastthesmile pin badges to show support for those suffering with an invisible illness which gained huge interest in the community, including schools and colleges across the county. We plan to repeat the campain again annually.
