Hope Through Action – We were really grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with Cornwall Council on their Towards Zero campaign, looking at ways our community can support the goal of zero suicides, and creating hope through action. Firstly by taking part in this interview with Cornwalls Suicide Liason Lead Anne Embury.
And again at Cornwall Councils Towards Zero event at Heartlands where our founder Sophie was asked to be a keynote speaker.
Many of our facilitators also took part in the ‘orange button scheme’ a scheme in which trained mental health first aiders wear an orange button to show they are a safe person they can speak to about suicide.
We also collaborate with Devon and Cornwall Police on their Pathfinder scheme, supporting young women with mental health concerns that have committed petty crimes and wish to work on rehabilitation.
